Epson EX70 customer reports
Project your presentations without those annoying VGI or DVI cables with Epson EX70 Portable Projector. For more information about this product, read this Epson EX70 Review.
Epson EX70 Plug ‘n Project is a portable projector that doesn’t need any cables to project your presentations. All you need is a USB cable. It gives you a digital video connection which eliminates the complications of syncing the projector to an analog signal. Other devices such as most travel-friendly notebooks doesn’t have digital video ports, rather they only offer the smaller USB ports. And so, there is the need for this type of portable projector since a USB cable is less bulky to carry around and easier to plug in than a DVI or VGA cable.
Its “Plug ‘n Project” feature can run on far-less-powerful systems and the only stated requirement for Plug ‘n Project is that the system must run Windows 2000, XP, or Vista. The LCD-based characteristic of the EX70 is also worth consideration wherein the WXGA (1,280 by 800) native resolution is also great with the display of notebooks.
EX70 is larger than the other portable projectors, but it’s still small and light enough to carry around. It measures 3.6 by 12.9 by 9.6 inches and weighs only 6.2 pounds. It also comes with its own soft carrying case, and a USB cable. In case you prefer connecting using VGA, there is also a VGA cable included. It can be used for component video. Moreover, the projector includes S-Video and composite video connectors and RCA phono plugs which is for stereo audio input. You can show presentations without a computer, using an SD card or a USB key.
The EX70 projector can be placed a little closer to the screen than most projectors—with an amazing distance of only 9 feet. The brightness of EX70 is at 1,731 lumens, bright enough to stand up to the typical ambient lighting conditions in an office. It also offers a 165:1 contrast ratio and a video quality of 480p. This projector also has an audio capability that is loud enough to fill a small conference room.
Epson’s Instant Off feature lets you turn off the projector wherein you can immediately unplug it and pack it up.
