Masterbuilt 30-inch Smokehouse is a heated box that produces smoke and can produce up to 30 pounds of smoked foods. The control panel lets you select the temperature from 100 to 275 degrees Fahrenheit and can run at that temperature, up to 24 hours. It also has a large capacity and is a fairly inexpensive electric smoker. It is a complete, self-contained unit that is considered to be a good choice of smoker for making jerky and other low temperature smoked foods.
It is large enough to cook up a good dose of barbecue. It is a pretty good smoker though it’s not as good as the smoker refrigerator box type. This unit has an insulated box to hold in heat, an electric heating element that sits under a small firebox to create smoke from wood chunks, and 4 racks to hold the food. The electronic control on the top lets you set the temperature somewhere between 100 and 275 degrees Fahrenheit for a period up to 24 hours. The smoker needs to have wood chunks loaded periodically so you should always to remember. This smoker does need to be monitored.
The number of meat you put must be kept in mind as there should not be too much inside as the smoker will struggle. There might be problems in using this smoker but if you’re tight on the budget, then why not? If you want an inexpensive, electric smoker so that you can cook up a few pounds of barbecue or make some jerky, then this might be the right choice.
